Do car owners have questions like this? When the car is driven for a period of time, the car headlights will turn yellow. What is going on? How to prevent the headlights from turning yellow? CoolMotor has some tips for you:

1. Check whether the light is working properly:

It’s usually not as simple as just looking at your eyes. When testing car lights, you need to check whether different types of car lights are working properly. Also check whether the headlight illumination direction is offset and whether the light brightness is sufficient. Check the normal working condition of the lamp, understand the status of the lamp as early as possible, and prevent accidents from happening.

2. Replace car light bulbs regularly:

Car lights and bulb consumables also have a fixed lifespan. When the bulb is used for a long time, it will dim and the illumination distance will be shortened, which will also have an impact on driving at night and is also a major safety hazard.

3. Clean the lampshade frequently:

When driving on the highway, it is inevitable that there will be splashes of water and mud spots on the car's headlights. Generally speaking, lampshades are also made of special materials and have good sealing properties. However, there will also be a lot of sludge on the lampshade, which will also affect the appearance of the car and the lighting effect of the car lights.

Steps to clean the lampshade:

1. Use a soft cloth to wipe off the dirt, debris, debris, etc. on the surface of the headlight.

2. Use soap and water to clean the headlights every three months to prevent the accumulation of dirt and other factors and prevent the headlights from turning yellow.

3. After cleaning, polish the headlights, wipe the headlights with chemically synthesized polishing agent, and wax and maintain the headlights according to the procedure.

4. When the car is not in use, park it in the garage or in the shade. It will help reduce the oxidation of polycarbonate caused by ultraviolet rays in the headlights.

4. After cleaning the engine compartment, the water should also be dry:

The car engine compartment needs to be cleaned regularly, but the moisture must be dried after cleaning. Otherwise, when using the car, as the temperature of the engine compartment increases, the remaining water in the engine compartment will turn into water vapor, which can easily enter the headlights from the engine compartment, causing the headlights to work abnormally.
