What material are car lampshades made of?

The material of automobile lampshades is generally made of high-grade polycarbonate (also known as: PC resin) because polycarbonate material has high hardness, toughness, strength, good light transmittance, and UV resistance. Because car lights are the eyes of the car, the materials used must meet these conditions, so generally car lampshades are made of high-grade polycarbonate.

Car headlights are the eyes of the car. Once the car light becomes weak or the bulb is damaged, or the car lampshade turns yellow, we should repair or replace it in time to avoid being unable to see the road clearly when driving at night, because driving at night itself is difficult. Poor visibility and lighting problems will increase the risk of driving at night.

knowledge expansion

Common car headlights include halogen headlights, xenon headlights and LED headlights. Today I will introduce these three types of lights to you.

Halogen headlights: Halogen headlights produce yellowish light. From the lighting effect point of view, the light color caused by halogen lights is relatively low because of its relatively low color temperature. There is no problem in driving under normal lighting. The biggest advantage of halogen lamps is their strong penetrating ability. In heavy fog and heavy rain with low visibility, the penetrating ability of halogen light sources is much higher than that of other lights with high color temperature.

Xenon headlights: Because xenon lamps are relatively bright and equipped with lenses, the light emitted is very focused and the color is different from halogen lamps. The light of xenon headlights is white. The penetrability of xenon lamps is also good, but it also has the disadvantage that it lights up slowly and does not have the stability of halogen lamps.

LED headlights: LED headlights refer to car lights that use LED (light emitting diode) as the light source. Because LED has the characteristics of high brightness, low power consumption and long life, LED is widely used in the automotive field, and its principle is basically the same as that of xenon. It’s almost the same as a lamp. The difference is that there is no need for high-voltage ionization. Because the positive and negative ions are directly placed in a fixed space, it is more energy-saving and stable.

When we choose car headlights, we can choose according to our personal needs and the knowledge I explained to you above.
